sound not working HELP!!!!!

my sound quit working on my xp pro sp2my computer will play system sounds but
nothing else involving music or voice
 
Check in Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices Icon. Open and click on
Advanced. Make sure none of the Mute Boxes
are checked and Sliders are half way up.
