Ok helped a friend build a PC, and his case has connections for front
speaker output, but after doing our best to decipher the shorthand codes we
are convinced his case and motherboard are not compatible.
Our problem now is that we want to put the sound connections back to their
pre-shipped state, so the sound is only available on the rear of the case.
The motherboard is a:
PCChips K7 M848A
It has on board sound, and a connecter the Manuel calls 'Audio 1'. This
connector had 2 jumpers fitted, which had to be removed to allow the front
connector hook up.
We forgot to write down where these were taken form so cannot remember where
they went. Does anyone know which 2 sets of 2 pins are to be jumped, to
allow the correct state required or rear speaker connection?
Many thanks in advance for anyone able to offer some help.
have emailed PCChips on their website, but after some 8 days still waiting
for reply. The manual tells how to hook up front wires for speaker output,
but not how to put the jumpers back.
Again thanks Vaughn
