Sound goes!!

I'm using Win2000Pro (as well as ten other people in the
office) and we all are experiencing the same problem.
After about an hour of streaming music, watching online
trailers etc. the sound just stops and the only way we can
get it back is to reboot.

Any ideas?

What kind of sound cards do you have in the machines? How were the machines
installed? Its possible that you just need a new driver for the card.

I have the same problem... works fine for about an hour or
so then...nothing. I've reinstalled drivers and upgraded
and downgraded sound drivers to no avail. Maybe this is a
media player problem. (I believe W2000 uses that for it's
system sounds as well)

Anything other to suggest than the obvious?
Thanks

The problem is only on streaming media sources or ALL media sources? What
kind of firewall/NAT are you behind? Do the same streams work anywhere else
in the environment from the same location? What version of the player is in
use in each scenario?
