I am trying to use songs on my website. Mpeg and Wav files turn any page
into a slow page. Are there any files that are smaller (even lower quality)
that are smaller?

Wav files will be the largest probably. MP3 is a goo format though you may
have to toy with it by reducing the sample rate. You can also try making a
windows media file (wma) by downloading a media encoder from MS at:

You can find most any song you might want in mp3 format for pennies per song
I have downloaded hundreds of songs from here and they are all excellent
quality by original artist's here is the link to find what you may want ....
