sound device error

my sound device shows error after installing win XP
i had win 98 previously installed
sound card details are
Intel(r) 82801AA AC'97 Audio Controller
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2415&SUBSYS_435211D4&REV_02
\2&EBB567F&0&FD This device cannot start.
please suggest remedy to get it working

Jacob, go to Intel's website and see if they have a WinXP Audio Driver for
the AC'97 controller.
