sound card not recognized after reinstillation of windows 2000 pro

have p4 200 running win 2000 pro lost access to computer reinstalled win 2000 pro Now sound card (on motherboard is not recognize
any help would be greatly appreciated
 
Check with the manufacturer of your sound card (or possibly your computer
manufacturer) to see if you can download the appropriate drivers.

i had to remove all instances of my sound card from device
manager etc., remove the card, shut down and restart
computer with card out then reboot AGAIN with card back
in...should be picked up new hardware detected...it was a
pain but it worked
good luck
