Sound Card driver installation

I have purchased a Crystal Sound Fusion multimedia card
to replace an old sound card, OptiAudio 16, as I have
upgraded my Pentium II 450 mghz with a total of 384 mg of
ram from Win98se to Win XP Pro. The OptiAudio 16 would
not work. I replaced the card and put in the disk for
the driver install. All seemed to go well. XP
recognized the card as Crystal SoundFusion and started to
install the driver. Then after a few minutes it quit
saying there was a data error. Cyclic Redundancy Check.
I went into device manager and tried it again and again.
Same thing. Help?

I can run XP Pro with 256MB of PC100 and PIII500 MHz with 10GiG C Drive (6-7 years old PC).

I suggest you to check for the XP compatible drivers for your sound card.
