Sound and XP

Han Plaatsman

Hi,

After changing the motherboard and processor,
my sound (on-board) refuses to work.
On a clean WinXP install it works fine.
I even tried another soundcard "creative" the problem
still remanes the same.
Windows claims the hardware is installed without problems,
but if you want sound it says there is no audio device
installed.
This must be a registry problem, but I cannot find it.
Please Help

Did you do a format and clean install of WinXP after you changed
Motherboard and Processor? If not, that might be
your problem. The new Motherboard might need different sound drivers.
Go to the manufacturers website and see if
any are available.
