sound and movie clips - help!

I'm sure all of you have seen this question before, but it is reall
bugging me. I'm an old time Mac user and my school district is forcin
all staff to switch to a PC. Well that's cool, but all my lessons ar
on power point for the Mac. Since I use an overhead projecto
connected to my desktop computer it is imperative that I get my duck
in order. I've got most everything converted, but my sound and movi
clips won't work. For my sound/music clips (Mac) I used Quicktime Pr
and there is no way (at lerast as far as I know) to save them in
particular format. Nevertheless, they won't play on the PC.

Question #1 - How do you all do this? Is there software that I need t
buy?

Question #2 - I need to do the same thing for clips from VCR tapes. M
Sony VAIO has software to do this but again Powerpoint will not pla
it. I sure would like to know how to overcome this problem. Any an
all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

QT and PCs don't always play and share well together. Hopefully
http://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/ppquicktime.html will help you
get it worked out.

You may need QuickTime Pro, but other than that, you shouldn't need
additional software.

Probably the Sony software uses proprietary codecs. Does it offer you an
option to save to a more standard format?
http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/multimedia.htm should help
you understand how PPT handles multimedia and what formats are more
standard, and therefore, more likely to play in PPT.
