sound and dvd decoder

I recently upgraded to win2000pro. Now I have no sound.
The error message reads "no mixer device intalled go to
add remove and install" I go there and there's nothing to
install. PPPLLLEEEEEZEE someone help. ALSO, now my DVD
decoder is missing for HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-41208. iS THERE
ANYONE WHO CAN HELP??? thanx in advance
