sorting subtotals

Is there a way to sort a subtotaled spreadsheet by the
subtotals so that all the underlying transactions stay
with the subtotal?

You can shrink it to level 2 then sort the whole thing by
your subtotal column.

I can't seem to get this to work. I made sure that format
for the column is numeric but can't think of anything else
to do.

This will only work if you have one subtotal in the table. If you have
multiple subtotals, you can't sort them.
