sorting in explorer

When I download or copy a folder or subfolder into explorer it is
automatically sorted alphabetically. Even if I manually change the order by
dragging it to another folder it reverts when closed. How can I keep it in
the order I want?

Explorer always sorts. New to Windows, are you?

somewhat. Is there a way to change this so I can put it in the order that I
want?

Right click > Arrange Icons By > Untick "Auto-Arrange"

Good Luck, Ayush.

You can sort by any of the column headings (name, size, type, date, etc.)
Just click on the heading to sort by that field. Click the heading a second
time to reverse the sort from ascending to descending, or vice-versa.
