Sorry I did not mean to Offend!

Sorry All,
I did not mean to offend any one by calling them "stupid arrows" but
obviously I did!! I am just frustrated and trying to correct the situation!

I know the added shortcuts have arrows but the ones that I am calling about
DID NOT have arrows before, and yes I know that when you add something to
your desktop it calls it a "shortcut"!

Anyway Thanks to the people that actually tried to help me!! After all that
is what this site is for, to help people!

Hey txgrl74,

Relax - we all love you! Just some posters just do that yelling thing from
time to time.

And some all the time. :)

But yes, as CreateWindow says just relax. There are a lot of idiots out
there (a lot of good, helpful people too) that don't appreciate the fact
that this is a forum to help people. It's also free, meaning they aren't
getting paid, so why they waste their time posting rude/ignorant replies is
beyond me. So if you see any comments like that it's best just to ignore
them.

Remove shortcut arrow from desktop icons
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/arrow.htm
or
Line 185 (right hand side). It also includes a restore.
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

or
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/default.mspx
PowerToys

Are you absolutely positive that they are not shortcuts on your desktop?

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. (Appearance and Themes) click Display, click the Desktop tab, and then click Customize
Desktop.
3. Click to select the check boxes for the desktop items that you want to display, or
click to clear the check boxes for the desktop items that you want to remove.

Txgirl, I found the original post starting this, including the "flames" or
nasty replies. Don't know about second one but Grumpy has been jumping
several people's cases the last few weeks. I'd swear he is a poster I knew
a few years back under the name Kadaicha Man.

The replies then and now are strikingly similar; if you're not an "expert",
you're a dummy. So IGNORE them both.
