I have got Sony Digital Camcorder one year back, and there was no software for transferring the movie on computer. I search everywhere but could not found software. Could you please help me, what other things I have to purchase and whether Moviewmaker will help me?

Do I need to purchase any hardware parts? Or Just downloading drivers and MoviewMaker will do?

Make sure you are using a firewire cable.

It might make a difference depending on your camcorder model.

With my Sony TRV460 I bought a FireWire cable (which normally does not come
with Sony's) to connect my Camcorder to my PC to transfer my movie with
MovieMaker2 . You have to have a FireWire port on your computer. I don't
use any Sony software.
