Sony Handycam

I got a new Sony Handycam - took some video and still
shots on vacation, and now I find that the software that
comes with the Sony doesn't allow me to save still images
to my computer. The tech suggested using MS movie
maker. Trying that - but still can't tell how to save
still images. Help??

Are the stills on the tape or memory card.
For memory card... connect via usb, and then use windows explorer to
navigate to the meory card which should show up as an external drive, then
just copy and paste to the hard drive.
If they are on tape, use movie maker to capture the video to the hard drive
using firewire and then use the capture frame utility in movie maker,
instructions in the help file or at www.papajohn.org
