Sony GDM-500PS 21" monitor retiring

Available to anyone who cares to pick it up free in Olympia WA, the
monitor stopped working a few months ago. Manufactured in 1997. One
owner. It's headed for the dump if nobody wants it.

If you know why it failed (or at least that the CRT
still works), you might call Sony and ask for a quote
on their flat-rate repair.

I just did this with a GDM-FW900, and despite the $80
cost to FedEx it to San Diego, I was able to sell the
refurbished monitor on eBay and recover all the costs,
plus a little. The alternative was to pay the local
refuse transfer station $10 to take it.
