Sony Ericsson PC Suite Error

On my laptop, during startup I keep getting this error msg " Sony Ericsson PC
Suite Error in configuration"
The program seems to work normally even with this error. I have uninstalled
PC Suite and Reinstalled it but the error keeps coming during startup only.
The only thing it seems to affect is the way the startup programs bar
appears. In the sense that the little arrow to hide/unhide the running
programs is missing. Also a lot of the running startup programs are
permanently hidden. Any suggestions?

I was having exactly the same problem on my desktop pc at home. I found that
re-installing the software from the CD didn't resolve the issue. What I did
was uninstall all the PC Suite software from my pc and download the latest
version from the Sony Ericsson website (which was a couple of versions
later!). At the same time I updated the software on my phone, again from the
website. It works like a dream now!!! Hope this helps you and good luck.
