Sony digital camcorder with XP

Can anyone get Sony DCR-TRV20 Digital video camera to work with XP? I've
lost the Sony software installation CD and they no longer have it for
download. If the software was still available would it even install under
XP? This camera uses a PC serial port connection and not USB. Does anyone
know of other inexpensive software that will recognize this camera?

thanks

I'm more interested in downloading the still photos from the TRV20 than
video. The original software for Win 98 did not require a video capture card
but utilized a standard serial port. It also offered rudimentary editing and
printing features.

That should be easy....just get a card
reader for your Sony memory stick.
