Hi
I received a Sony DSC P52 camera for Christmas and would like to know how I
can get the camera to show up in the Scanner and Camera folder in control
panel with Windows XP?
I also use Microsoft Picture It software and the camera will not show up in
it either. It tells me that there is no camera installed, please install the
camera and its software.
When the camera is hooked up to a USB port, it shows up in Windows Explorer
just fine and I can drag and drop OK.
How can I install the camera without a inf file from Sony. They didn't
supply a inf and I can't find one at Sony's web site.
Thanks
Ken'

Don't know the answer to your problem but if you can hook up your camera to
your computer and Windows Explorer sees it and you can drag and drop the
pictures into whatever folder you want, what more do you need? Why would
you want to have PictureIt see the camera, just point it to the folder with
the pictures you dragged and dropped.

Yes the drag and drop work just fine, but why would Microsoft create the
folder in Control Panel to hold your camera and scanner if you can't install
them there?
Why would their software Picture It have the option to upload pictures to
the computer if they don't work?
