I have a SoundBlaster Live! sound card. I'm having problems with the
software, I think my drivers are messed up. I've tried contacting tech
support at Creative Labs, but they don't support the products they sell very
well. I'm running WinXP Home Edition. (for 2 years)
Anyway, in Control Panel, I have two icons called AudioHQ. One of them works
OK, the other one gives me this message... can not initialize audio driver -
reinstall audio driver. First of all, there should only be one icon, right?
Not sure why I have two.
When I go to Control Panel/add/remove programs, I have two SoundBlaster
related programs in there.
1.) SoundBlaster Live!
2.) SoundBlaster Live! Web2K/XP
When I try to remove the SoundBlaster Live! Web2K/XP - it launches the
install wizard, then the following message comes up... an installation
support file could not be installed. The system can not find the file
specified.
I'm not trying to install this, I'm trying to remove it. Not sure why this
is happening.
I'd like to completely remove the SoundBlaster software & all of it's
drivers, then re-install.
How can I do this if WinXP won't let me?
