Something need for video playback in xp pro?

So I just did a fresh reinstall of my win xp pro. All seems fine, but when I
try to view utbue videos, I don't ever see anything and it always shows the
loading animation. Am I missing something here? Don't recall yet if I have
installed flash or quicktime. Are these needed for this particular thing?
