Somehow my spreadsheets have numbers instead of letters, why?

hi
most probably one of your settings has slipped. it happens now and then.
on the menu bar...
tool>options>General tab>uncheck r1c1 reference style>ok

Hi David,

When you open your workbook go to tools>options>General>Uncheck R1C1
reference style.

This will solve your problem.
