Some web text just blocks and symbol characters

Win 98 w/6.0 and latest service packs... when viewing
certain pages (amazon.com book section.. editorial reviews)
the text is shown as blocks and symbols. I can copy and
paste said characters into notepad or anything else and
the text appears.. On this same computer I have an old
copy of Netscape that will read the same page fine. Have
downloaded the latest Sun Java reader. Have read about XML
to HTML and also CCSID issues... Be my hero... thanks
 
Did you try to change the View/Encoding on your menu.
In the same menu, try the autoselect if not active, or remove it if it is.
