Some Registry keys are not set

I created an XP embedded component modifying the registry value
"HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Colors\Background" to "255 255
255", but the fba seems to overwrite this setting and all i get is the
standard blue background. How can i prevent the fba from overwriting
this registry key or make sure it is set again before the first user
logon?
