Some messages can't be moved

Hi There.

I have Outlook 2007 SP2 and run XP SP3.

I wanted to move a number of messages from one folder to another and found
that only some messages could be moved, not all. The ones left cannot be
read in the reading pane and I get a message "This item contains active
content that cannot be displayed in the reading pane. Open the item to read
the contents" In fact I seem to have quite a lot of messages in various
folders that can't be viewed in the reading pane. I can opne all of the
messages but not see them in the reading pane or move them.

Any ideas anyone please?

I forgot to mention that when I try to move the messages I get "this task
cannot be performed for message headers. Download the complete messages, and
then complete the task.

Is this an IMAP account? If so, make sure that the messages are
completely downloaded before trying to move them.

Thanks for responding Pat but all of these messages are fully downloaded and
some months if not years old. I can open the message but I can't move it.
