Some folders won't open in My Pictures

Is there a limit on the mg. you can load from a digital camera into a folder
on "My Pictures"? Since we upgraded our camera to a higher megapixel, the
folder we load the pictures to won't open. I tried breaking it up into
smaller batches in separate files, but still having the problem with some of
the folders.

Just wondering...when you upgraded to the
new camera...did you install any new software?

Yes, we installed the software that came with the camera - Lumix Simple
Viewer. Also, I should have mentioned that we have a new computer running
Windows XP Home SP3, with lots of memory. Thanks

The new software is most likely the cause of this issue.

Personally...I would uninstall the software and do a
system restore to a time before it was installed.

Then I would try to re-associate the image files to
the defaults for XP.

IMHO...if you have a memory card reader...that is
the best way to download images from a camera.

What is the full name and model number of your
new camera?

Hi,

It is suggested that you never download pix directly from a digital
camera to a computer. If the camera's battery runs down during the
transfer, you might lose all your pix. If yopur computer does not have a
memory card slot, you can purchase a card reader for about U.S. $10.
Remove the memory card with pix from the digital camera, and transfer to
your computer with the card reader.

Good luck.

Excellent advice...and of course the
batteries would be at low power after
a long session of picture taking.

A card reader is *always* the best
method.
