I boughta pc thru Tiger Direct, the pc was called a Firelite. I have a tag
that shows a MS XP Home Edition serial number, they shipped the pc without an
OS disk nor a restore disk with Xp! Now I need to reinstall the system to
the hardrive and cannot. Tiger Direct refuses to help deferring that I need
to contact the manufacturer who isn't listed in Tiger Direct list of vendors.
I cannot find a website for Firelite doing a google search. How can I gt a
replacement disk ???

There is probably a procedure to press an F key while booting to go into
restore mode. The restore will be done from a hidden partition on the hard
drive. Did you get a manual?

Try ctrl + F11 that is the new procedure for some pc with os instaled, is
very dificult to do but during the download of the bios press this two keys
at the same time """"must be at the same time to work""""

When I check Tiger's web site, I can't find any system that is called a
Firelight. When I Google the term, all I get is a component manufacturer
for hard drives. Are you absolutely sure the manufacturer of the system is
firelight?

Read the shipping papers that came with the computer and give the
manufacturer's name and model number of the computer. That will help us
determine how to help you.

Also share your story with the local BBB or consumer protection agency.
