I have tried network-web and 24 hour group with no answer.
Simple - one wireless laptop, two networks w/DTs
I can connect just fine at home. Everything works.
I can connect to the inet at work and can see the DT in network
places, but can't connect to it. I can see the laptop from the work DT
also, but can't connect that way either. Firewalls are disabled.
Drives and printer are set for sharing on all computers.
single user DT at home, single user laptop, multiuser DT at work.
Both systems connect thru a wireless router - DTs connect hardwired.
Router at work has different address - but I can connect to inet.
Guest accounts are active on all systems - whatever default was -
hasn't changed.
My account on all systems is named the same.
I am admin on all computers.
I am also frustrated.
1. Is it necessary to have an account on the DT to be able to connect
to it and share files - printer?
2. If so, Is it necessary for the account name to be the same as the
laptop account name?
all on WINXP pro.
