Folks,

This is one issue that has been eating my head about windows vista.

I had installed eclipse and I am trying to install a few plugins
through update manager, NO matter what update site I try , I get a
"Problems due to network connection " error.
The same case happens to my other softwares like CVS and SVN clients
that try to connect to a remote repository.

I am running these tools as administrator and I have them declared as
exceptions for the windows firewall.
Am I missing something??

Please help as this is really stopping me from doing my work .

Note:All this used to work perfectly well with windows XP

This is not an appropriate venue for job postings. It's a forum for free
interchange of information, most commonly peer group assistance.

There's nothing wrong with posting anything you want here. I am sorry
that you're having a hard time, maybe we can find something for you
here.

Have you been checking out http://sfbay.craigslist.org they have a lot
of jobs that allow telecommute.

Thanks

This poster is obviously anti-Russian and would like to mislead you into
wasting your precious time and energy on a useless venue for job-search. The
fact is that, because this group is not for job search, you will have better
probability of success in a more appropriate group. Good luck in finding
work.

Shame on the poster who would have you waste your time here -- if he cannot
overcome his bias against Russians, former Soviets, may he find another way
and group in which to deal with his aggression to them. Anger management
counseling would be a good idea for him.
