I booted up a new notebook running XP Pro. XP seemed to be fine, I
registered as user/administrator. Then I loaded verizon's dsl software
via CD without an apparent problem. Upon 'restart' to finish
installation of dsl, I got the 'fatal blue screen' about a problem with
XP and something about needing to update BIOS. I reset the notebook
(removing the battery pack, etc.) and was able to boot up XP again.
However, verizon opened a window wanting to complete the installation
(but I wasn't ready to complete the account info, etc.) and I closed
the window. I then lost all icons on the desktop, including the task
bar. All I have is the blue Dell screen.
How to I uninstall the verizon dsl software and start all over?
