If you're not using a page template which has been predefined to have the
banner/navigation, *and* if you are not using a DWT, then the blank page is
simply a blank page, and won't have any of the existing components.
The easiest way to tackle this is to open an existing page, select File>Save
As... - then give it the new page name. Delete the content and add the new
content. Then, go to the Navigation view (View, Navigation). Is your Folder
List open as well? If not, the go to View, Folder LIST to open it. Next,
locate the new filename in the Folder List (it's probably at the bottom),
left click over it and while holding down the left mouse button, drag it over
into the Navigation Structure and drop it where you want it, so that it is
underneath either the Home page or another existing page. Repeat every time
you wish to add a new page!
You'll have to rename the page for button/banner purposes, as well - to do
this, simply right click over the box with the name you want to change,
select "Rename", and type in what you want to appear on the buttons & banners.
