Software Installation Problem (because of language)

Hello. I have an English system - but I purchased a game in German. I
installed the game and attempted to click on the icon to start playing the
game but it gives me this error message:

IniFile.KeyNotFound(dictionary,Translator)

I have searched everywhere for an answer to this problem - and what they
tell me is to uninstall the software - change my language settings to German
(Regional and Advanced) then reinstall the software.

Before I go and do this strange thing to my wonderful PC I would like to
know if this is the correct way to go from professionals here. Please help.

Changing your language settings to German, assuming you don't speak German,
would be bad. You might be able to add a keyboard layout for the Germanic
language if you wanted. I'm not sure what effect that would have on the game
though. However I do know that changing you language to German would be a
bad idea unless you speak German well enough to change it back.
