I'm looking for a freeware prog that can split a MPG video file in
different parts or cut out a piece...

i believe virtualdub does it, but you cannot save as mpg - save is in avi

Longtime not been updated... provides a free demo version and a
payware version.. do you use it?

work well.

Requirements
Microsoft .NET Runtime 1.1
DirectX 9.0b
256 MB RAM or above to get fun.
Screen resolution 1024x768 (or higher)
NTFS to support files larger 2 GB
A installed MPEG2 decoder (like Elecard or other)
