"Snap in Failed to innitialize"

The failing snap in is "local users and groups". How do
you correct such failure to innitialize? As I am the only
user of the XP- pro how do I do away with the "local
users group". It prevents me from getting auto updates
from Microsoft and getting the required sacurity patches.
Any one? any help? Thanks, AIN

Are there any other messages or related event log entries ?
Do other mmc consoles fail to initialize ?
If so, check to see whether system32\Wbem is in your path.

If you mean what you said, the answer is that you cannot.
The local group named Users is built-in and undeletable.
It prevents me from getting auto updates
from Microsoft and getting the required sacurity patches.
How so does it prevent you from this ?
Have you tried the troubleshooting selection at
Windows Update ?
