The server names, and sometimes some of the other details, depend on who
you're using as an email provider. Most email users use their internet
provider
as an email provider also, since most internet providers don't charge extra
for this. Ask your email provider for their instructions for setting up to
use
their email servers. If they haven't written instructions for Windows Mail
yet, use their instructions for Outlook Express but under Windows Mail
instead. The instructions are probably somewhere on their web site. Or,
you could tell us who your email provider is and see if anyone here already
knows where to find the instructions.
Hi there - I got into my "properties" and "accounts" areas on the "tool"
section on my Windows Mail toolbar and apparently screwed everything up. I
was able to receive emails prior to this, but was having a problem sending
them. I was trying to manipulate my options to see if I could fix this
myself. I am a POP3 server for incoming, and am wireless at home so used my
Comcast as my outgoing server. Is this the right thing to do? I doesn't
appear to work. Help, Pier
They haven't written instructions for Windows Mail yet, but their
instructions
for Outlook Express should work under Windows Mail if you avoid the
One Click Fix.
