Such references to port 0 usually mean that interference from an antivirus
program has interfered with Windows Mail being able to look up the
port number. What if any antivirus programs and other security programs
do you have?

Also , port 25 and SSL are seldom used together. You might try turning
it off for your SMTP server.

I have Avast4home as antivirus program. Even try to change the prot and sll
status in my profile, but W-mail still read port 0 and sll=0.

When you have interference from an antivirus program, it often shows up as
preventing Windows Mail from reading the correct port number, so it shows
port 0 instead.

What if any antivirus programs, antispyware programs, firewall programs,
and other security programs do you have?

Also, port 25 and SSL are seldom used together, so make sure your email
provider calls for this combination.

"(e-mail address removed)"

Error messages referring to port 0 are often due to so much interference
from an antivirus program that Windows Mail is unable to look up the port
number correctly. What if any antivirus programs do you have, and have you
ever had a Norton or Mcafee antivirus program on that computer, even a
trial version?

Also, not many email providers that have you connect to their outgoing
mail server also have you use SSL on that connection. You might want
to check with your email provider if that's what you should use.
