I tried some advices, like the 32 bit solution with 941090 package.
Should try the 10918, but my service provider with domain swipnet.se is not
in the list (from AT&T) so it was not for me.

Also tried what former has worked out (WMUtil.exe) to clear a lot of empty
files, didn´t help.

Came to think of that MacAfee do not like Win Mail, so I unistalled a
security update KB905866 and KB942615. Rebooted.

Still I get the error message:
Det gick inte att ansluta till servern. Ämne 'Re: Avrostning', Konto:
'dredd.swip.net', Server: 'authsmtp.rixtele.com', Protokoll: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure (SSL): Nej, Socket-fel: 10060, Felnummer: 0x800CCC0E

(well, some Swedish there, but you get it).

Version: Windows Mail version 6.0.6000.16386 (vista_rtm.061101-2205)

Can anybody help me further?

Want to add this information: I have checked the setup with the mail
account(s). I receive mails via one ISP (POP3) and send via another.

Are you connected to the Internet through rixtele.com when this happens?

Does your connection to the outgoing server cross over from one internet
provider's equipment to another's before it reaches the server? If so, such
connections to port 25 are often blocked to cause trouble for spammers,
and you need to ask that email provider whether that server listens for
outgoing mail on any other port, and if so, what are the details of
switching
to the other port. Just trying all the ports is a very slow way to find
out, since
there are about 65,000 ports available.

Most versions of McAfee antivirus programs eventually cause problems
in Windows Mail, and uninstalling Windows updates or disabling part or
all of the McAfee program seldom helps. Most versions of the Norton
antivirus program and a recent version of the Trend antivirus program
have similar problems. You usually have to uninstall these programs
instead. For McAfee, you often then need to run this cleanup program
to take care of what the uninstall left behind:

You may even have to remove your email account under Windows Mail,
then restart Windows Mail and add the account again.

If this cures your problem, you may want a replacement antivirus program
that doesn't cause such problems. I recommend either avast! or AVG,
either one with a custom install that tells it to leave out the part that
scans
email.
