I can't establish any connection outgoing on port 25, in other words I can’t
send email via smtp. My PC send TCP packages with syn flag but doesn’t get
any replay. I try to telnet on different smtp servers and this problem steal
occur (while form other computers it works good). It’s happening even after
/saveboot + network (no firewalls). I’ve try to switch of build in firewall
but it didn’t halp. I’m using WinCup to get packages so there must be
something going on between wincup and the network adapter. Other TCP
connections works good. Does anyone have any suggestions?

i am having the same problem. i use the bat as email client [it happens with
outlook express as well].

about 3 weeks ago a week after i installed a new adsl router i stopped being
able to access the ISP's mail servers either out or in. my router has a mail
check utility and it can check the mail account using my name/password and it
tells me i have x mail messages waiting but i can't access the server using
mail software. this happens with both the router and Win firewalls turned off

oddly the only other difficulty i'm having is accessing a remote site via a
proxy server at a university. i can access the library directly but some
links go to an eproxy.xxx site where a login screen should ask for my uni
user name and password but no rute can be found and it just times out.
everything else seems to work fine.
