Hi all,
Recently this file, smss.exe, has been attempting to access the internet
and has been blocked by Zone Alarm. I have checked various
sources on the internet and have gotten conflicting information. I have run
AVG antivirus and both Ad-Aware SE and Spybot
and nothing out of the ordinary is being reported. I understand that this in
a normal windows file in most instances, but should it be
attempting to access the net? A search of my harddrive shows this file in
two locations, the windows directory and the system32
directory. Can anyone spread some light on this for me?
