Enable Cookies and JavaScript

I just accessed a site which told me I have to have cookies and
JavaScript enabled. I attempted to do this in Internet Explorer and
Zone Alarm. Same issue. So, I disabled Zone Alarm - same issue.
Guess I have to set something different in Internet Explorer. Could
someone plaease tell me what to do? Thanks.......

Depending on what version of IE you are running, it should come up with a
popup window for activex/javascript stuff, but you can definitely enable it
in tools->internet options, as well as the cookies. Once you have done that,
close all of your IE windows, and then restart IE.

to get on some web sites. I don't see that as an option in the setup or
options. ???
