sms api in standard ppc2003( not phone edition)?

Currently I am using a pocket pc 2003, and with one gprs modem(CF2 type)
, I want to know if the sms api is supported in my ppc 2003( not phone
edition)
what is my options. thannks

I'm pretty sure that this only works with Phone Edition, since it relies on
sms.dll

That is correct. I tested it on a Pocket PC, and it complained about the
missing SMS.DLL.

It is possible to send SMS messages via a connected phone handset using a
set of AT commands specified in the GSM specifications.You'll need to
establish a serial connection with the phone and then issue the appropriate
commands.
