I noticed recently that each time I log on a prompt shows up that reads,
"Smrgdf not found - skipping autocheck."

Could someone please tell me what that means and if there is a way that I
can correct it.

Thank You

Sounds like malware or a virus, or perhaps a residue of one that was removed
by your virus scanner. Click Start/Run/msconfig.exe, then see if you can
locate it under the Startup tab. If so then you should untick it.

smrgdf is the remnants of the software Iola System Mechanic. Google Smrgdf
and you will find ways to delete this problem by deleting all that remains of
System Mechanic
