Smartheap library

error message says smartheap library does not have enough memory to do
a procedure.....message says i have to free up some more memory

how so i do this? thanks

i was joining two large multipart files in Agent

such as file1.mpg (Parts 0001-3000) with file2.mpg ( Parts 3001-6000)

both files are very large ---- maybe 200 megs each or more

agent wouldnt complete the task

Hi,

Have you set constraints on the virtual memory (pagefile)? Is there
sufficient room for expansion on the drive/volume where it resides?

Other than that, you should contact Forte with this issue with their
software.

i dont undersrand the concept of constraints on pagefile===how do i
increase the virtual memory and how high should it be

if you just wont answer----dont bother

just let someone else answer

Hi,

Control Panel/System/Advanced tab, click on performance settings. On the
advanced tab, click the 'change' button to open the VM dialog box.
Generally, the minimum should be at least 100MB, and no maximum should be
set.
