Kevin
I get a message on bootup that states:
Warning - immediately back-up your data and replace your
hard disk drive - a failure may be imminent. Smart
failure predicted on secondary master: Maxtor 5T030H3
This is with the XP operating system. The drive in
question is a second hard drive used for recording and
mixing music.
Could someone tell me what a Smart failure is? Are there
any concerns I should have about the other hard drive or
other devices?
The drive appears to function, but I will be calling the
manufacturer for possible replacement as the drive is
still under warranty.
Thank you,
Kevin
