Smart Card Logon Problems

I cannot Logon using Smart Card. In the task bar Active gold card is yellowed
out.
I updated driver, Unistalled/Reinstalled Active CARD 3.0, Tried with
different card reader. Same thing.
Error is cannot START Smart card servies, I tried to start. It won't let
me to START.
I reapplied XP SP2. Still the same thing.
Can some one help me to resolve this ASAP.
