Small fonts on XP

Hi Guys,

I hope i'm on the right forum here, but I'm sure someone may know the answer
to my query. OK, I have just installed a game, but when I open it, it says
"ACC requires your system front size to be set to 'small fonts'. Please
change this setting using the control panel, and then re-run the game."

When I open up the display in control panel, the font options are 'normal',
'large' and 'extra large'. There is no small option, which is required for
the game. Does anybody know how to get this option onto the system? It seems
to be a problem only on XP as it works on ME and 98.

To get small fonts in XP,
1) Open Display Properties
2) Choose "Settings" tab
3) Choose "Advanced" tab
4) Choose "General" tab
5) In the "Display" section, under "DPI" setting, pull down list, and choose
"Custom..."
6) Pull down percentage list, and set the display to a smaller percentage .
7) In the "Compatibility" section, choose "Apply the new font display
settings without restarting".
8) Repeat 6) and 7) until game allows font display size.
9) "Ok" out.

Thanks for your reply Donald, however, it has not solved the problem. It
still comes up with the error, and I think it specifically requires the font
setting to be 'small font' in display (appearance).

Is there any way I can expand to options from just normal, large and extra
large?

It appears that your game is hard-wired to run on Windows 9x, which
DOES have a setting to use small fonts within the Display properties
dialog. Your game will not run on Windows XP, since XP has no setting
to use small fonts, or a way to set small fonts.

I suggest that you use games which are not hard-wired to run on
Windows 9x.

In Display, Settings, click Advanced, and adjust the DPI setting there.
