small dots appear when I touch space bar

When I type a document I will type a word then touch the
space bar a small dot appears - looks like

Hello.... Any suggestions as to how I get rid of this
problem - aside from "edit- cut" thanks
 
I suppose you work in Word??
Then: Tools/Options/Display/ non-printable items > clear "space" and others
as you wish.
