small but annoying display problem

Hello friends,
When I minimise any windows or programs, they just disappeaer instead of
appearing on the taskbar. I've looked in the properties section of the
taskbar and tried all the options, also tried moving and enlarging the
taskbar in case they were underneath somewhere. But they stubbornly remain
hidden. As you will imagine this is annoying as I have to use task manager to
find the minimised windows and then double-click on the name to access it
again.

I would be most grateful for your advice on how to remedy this situation so
that I can see the minimised items on the taskbar again.

Many thanks in advance for your help,
Helen from Ireland

Bad This is not normal and something is messed up with your XP.

Good It can be fixed. Go here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_t.htm
a website created and maintained by MVP Kelly Theriot.

At the very top of that page is the "Taskbar" section. The first section
has a link to "Taskbar Plus!" which can fix this and other taskbar
problems.

Or if you'd rather not install a program to fix this, you can move to the
second section - also titled "Taskbar" and click the "Minimized Programs
Missing" link to download the .VBS (visual basic script) file. Run the file
to fix the problem. NOTE: Some antivirus programs block the downloading and
execution of script files. Temporarily disable "script blocking."
