Sluggish downloads

I have noticed in the last few days that my compy is sluggish when i try to
save photos off the internet. I have checked on a few different sites to make
sure it wasn't them. I right click, choose "Save Picture As...", chose my
location, and hit save.

Same old story.

But now, when i do all that, the webpage freezes up, and the dialog box
becomes distorted. After about 20 seconds, the distorted box goes away, the
picture is saved, life goes on.

Any ideas?

Any help will be appreciated.

Much love!

Have you tried deleting your Temporary Internet Files?

How:

Open Internet Explorer, click the tools menu, click Internet Options, click Delete Files
button. When the Delete Files box opens click to put a checkmark to the Left of: Delete
offline all content, click the OK button in that dialog box, wait until drive activity
finishes, then close the remaining Internet Options window.

If that does not fix the problem: Is it possible that you have picked up some
adware/spyware/malware? Download and install the free utility Ad-Aware SE Personal, and
scan your drive.

Where:

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Then click the green CNet DOWNLOAD.COM logo to download Ad-Aware SE Personal. After
downloading and installing, click the Check for updates now link on the lower right of the
main screen to update definitions, then Perform a Full System Scan.

Yeah, I guess I should have mentioned that too. I have deleted all my
cookies, temporary internet files, history, run adaware se, spybot 1.4, and
I still have the same problem.

Any other ideas?
