Unless the software is software that always runs in the background, removing
it can never help speed up a computer. What you have running can affect the
computer's performance, but what you only have installed but not running can
have no effect on it.
My notebook is still at glacial speed.
Undoubtedly, for a reason that has nothing to do with Pinnacle Studio. The
most common culprit these days, and the first thing you should be looking
at, is whether you have malware infestation. I recommend that you go to
Malke's Malware Removal site at
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware and follow
the instructions there.
If that doesn't help, then post back for other possibilities.
